Saint Damien of Molokai, also known as Father Damien, was a Belgian priest and missionary who dedicated his life to serving people with leprosy on the Hawaiian island of Molokai. He cared for the sick, built homes and churches, and worked to restore dignity and hope to an isolated community. He eventually contracted the disease himself and continued serving others until his death. He is honored as a patron saint of people with leprosy and those living with HIV/AIDS. His feast day is May 10.
