✨ Who is Saint Expedite?
Saint Expedite (also spelled Expeditus) is a Roman Catholic saint known as the patron of urgent causes. People pray to him when they need quick help, fast solutions, or immediate action.
He is especially loved by people who are facing:
emergencies
financial problems
legal issues
sudden obstacles
deadlines
situations that cannot wait
He is often called “the saint who answers fast.”
⚔️ History
Saint Expedite was a Roman soldier in the 3rd century. When he decided to convert to Christianity, the devil tried to stop him by appearing as a crow, saying:
“Cras” — Latin for tomorrow (meaning: “Don’t convert today, wait.”)
Expedite crushed the crow and declared:
“Hodie!” — Today!
This is why he became the symbol of acting now, not delaying.
✝️ Martyrdom
He was killed around the year 303 during the persecution of Christians under Emperor Diocletian. Because he died for his faith, he is honored as a martyr.
